Bo M is designed to be a vehicle you can rely on.
 
The Bo M is first in its class with a single piece, monocurve aluminium chassis. The first in the World with a Lifetime Chassis Warranty. 
Extruded and heat treated in aerospace-grade 6061 and A356 T6 aluminium, this construction provides a unique direct connection between the rider’s feet and hands, ensuring absolute riding confidence.
 
This design also means that on removal of the rear panels (all mounted using automotive fasteners, for durability and fast access) the entire powertrain is accessible for reliable ease of servicing.
 
Packaged into the Monocurve chassis is our patented and robust Bo Safesteer™ system, designed to maximise the ride and handling performance. Safesteer™ is a dynamic steering stabiliser, based around a simple mechanical solution to provide maintenance-free riding. This system reacts to bumps and dips in the road, ensuring Bo has a reliably smooth ride regardless of road surface.
 
Our chassis also houses the unique BoPower battery, BoPower motor and BoPower motor controller. These components are designed to maximise the power output, reliability and control that the rider has over the vehicle. 
The BoPower components are also designed to a standard 48V specification with off-shelf, widely available fasteners, as well as being based on UART electronics. This means that long term maintenance is low cost and can be carried out by any e-bike mechanic.
Twin seals on the outer motor hub bearings are specified for minimal maintenance.
 
The BoPower system includes a variable regenerative e-brake, returning energy to the battery through the motor wheel when slowing. This system has e-ABS programmed in, to minimise rear wheel skidding.
 
To maximise ride enjoyment at night, Bo M is equipped with the Halo 360 Lighting system: a front Daytime Running Light is integrated around the entire steerer, giving visibility from all angles. Additionally, the rear tail light is neatly integrated into the rear mudguard, and designed to throw light both directly rearwards and down to complete the halo around the vehicle. You can rely on the Halo lighting system to make you fully visible to other road users.

Best of all, the front headlight is mounted directly into the aluminium of the handlebar stem, drawing heat away from the LEDs and maximising the brightness. The light has built-in temperature sensing and automatic brightness control, moderating its output as the night cools.
The lights work together in a carefully designed animation on start-up and shut down, giving a moment of delight at the start and end of each ride.
 
To ensure that the Bo M is a reliable daily companion, the Monocurve chassis has built-in security locking points. These are mounted at an ergonomic height to avoid the rider having to stoop. Due to their reinforced mounting through the chassis, this locking system doubles as load hooks, with the hook separation gap developed specifically to prevent bags from swinging.
Combined with the unique fixed chassis design of the Bo M, where other scooters are impractical for most daily tasks Bo provides a uniquely safe and stable solution for groceries and work bags.
 
In testing the Bo team identified that road surfaces generate an unpleasant 10-20Hz vibration, leading to pins-and-needles over longer rides. To combat this, we developed our Airdeck suspension system. This is an engineered elastomer layer, similar to the sole of a performance running trainer. It removes the unpleasant road chatter, enabling longer rides in comfort. It is also zero maintenance, lightweight and cost effective to replace.
 
Emphasising the unique and striking chassis design, Bo is finished in a luxurious wet coat paint finish. This starts with a 360 degree powdercoat base layer, before the upper layers are sprayed with 98% aluminium flake giving a deep silver metallic. A semi-matte clearcoat and decals are then applied, before the vehicle is baked for a tough hard-wearing finish.
 
Where other scooters have flimsy, easily cracked plastic components, the Bo M calls on our automotive background with tough, reinforced PC-ABS body panels. The mudguard is reinforced with a pressed metal plate and the components are thickened up to 4mm for long term durability.
 
We are all used to using excellent mapping applications when we drive - Google Maps, Waze or Beeline. Rather than rely on weak aftermarket phone mounting, the Bo M integrates a MOUS Intralock directly into the head of the scooter. This innovative system compliments a range of high quality cases, as well as a universal adapter. It enables rapid and secure mounting of your phone to provide the best possible mapping solution.
 
Components not directly designed by Bo have been specified through rigorous testing of all available options. The tyres, for example, are R6.5, 2.50 inch diameter CST tubeless tyres. These were chosen from over twenty different options for their combination of comfort and toughness. In testing the Bo team rode these tyres for over 12km completely flat, with 0PSI of inflation, before re-inflating the tyre and continuing without issue. This is a vehicle you can rely on to get you home.
